Questions And Answers On Buy P90x Workout

Cindy asks…

I want to buy P90X workout. What will I need to sart and do i actually watch the DVD as i workout?

I want to know to I need to buy anything extra like pull up bar or dumbbells if I was to start this program?

admin answers:

The what you will need to start this program is a pull-up bar, a variety of dumbbells, a yoga mat and time. The workouts are mostly an hour a day with the exception of yoga which is an hour and a half. You will want to watch the videos while working out to know what you’re supposed to be doing. If you get the hang of the exercises than I guess you won’t need to watch them since they would be memorized.

Good luck.

P.s. You can use resistance bands instead of dumbbells if you wish to do so.

Marie asks…

Questions And Answers On P90x Workout

Richard asks…

admin answers:

Lisa asks…

P90X Workout?

Hey,

I’ve been hearing good things about P90X workout routine. Does anyone have it they can answer…. how long is the workout each day? What equipment do you need (pull up bar, dumbbells, etc)?

Thanks

admin answers:

P90X is a great program that will really get you results! It is an advanced program so be prepared for that. Some people start with Power 90 or the Power90 Master series first and work up to P90X.

I was able to lose about 18 pounds of Fat with Power 90 and the master series. I then Built more lean muscle and shed about 15 more pounds with P90X. I now use it in between my Turbo Jam program for more results. The program is excellent and does really work!

The Workouts are about an hour long and there are 12 of them. They alternate days of resistance training and cardio. Each resistance day includes the Ab workout as well. The workouts are broken out by body part (like Chest and Back, Shoulders,Biceps and triceps etc.)

I use both the bands and weights. I had the weights so it was not an added expense. I also use the door attachment for the bands instead of using the pull up bar. I have the bar I just did not install it and it was easier to use the bands.

You can select from 3 eating plans and 3 workout plans depending on your goals.

It is a full fitness solution and you will see results and not be bored at all. It is like working out with a personal trainer everyday. In fact several of the trainers at my gym use the program and the exercises from it with their clients!

Hope that helps
Keith

Marie asks…

P90X workout?

I’m wanting to get this workout system, but I wanted some feedback. I understand that it is a 6 day a week program and that you are obviously on it for 90 days then repeat the program. However, I have to be very stingy on my time, how does long do the workouts normally last per day. Is it like one hour, 6 days a week or do they split it up etc etc. Also I am really interested in the results people have been getting and how they like the system? Thanks for all your feedback!

admin answers:

Most of the workouts are 1 hour long. For the Classic version, there are three nights where you also do the 15 minute Ab Ripper X. So for a whole workout plus shower, you’re looking at about an hour and a half a day.

My husband and I are just starting our third week and I’ve lost 1% body fat so far and already my pants are feeling too big. I started at 110lbs (5’1″) and am still about there. But I can feel more muscle definition and my abs are looking more chisled.

Mandy asks…

Does the p90x workout really work and gets you jacked up?

I am 16 and i am 5’10 and i weigh 190. I want to lose weight fast. I want to get jacked up at the same time. I don’t know a good workout routines, so i want to get p90x. I want to know if p90x is good or if it is a waste of money or you can help out with a daily workout routine.

admin answers:

It probably works, but I would rather do it by myself. Go to the gym, or run outside, lift weights, eat healthy..you know how to do it.

Chris asks…

What is a good diet to follow during the P90x Workout?

I am doing the P90x workout and I don’t have the diet. Could someone copy and paste? First Person to Copy and Paste the diet gets best answer. Thanks.

John asks…

P90X Workout Program Review?

Anyone use P90X? Pros, Cons? Was it worth it? Anything else you want to say about it would be great

admin answers:

It is great. If you are truely deticated and work out everyday and eat right. You will get results. Its all on you and if you use the program and really want it, then it will work out for you

Elizabeth asks…

reviews on workout, P90X?

i’m taking up the system and was wondering how well it actually worked
could anyone who answers please provide pictures of before and after the workout routine

admin answers:

There are tons of pics on the infomercials. Those aren’t fake results.

My first 90 days I put on 15lbs of muscle (I didn’t need to lose weight).

That is the great thing about P90X. WHether you need to lose weight or gain muscle, the program will fit your goals. You can check out my results by going to the source I cited. (not sure how to post pics in answers).

Good luck and feel free to message me if you have any questions.

Bring It!

Paul asks…

P90X Workout? Has anyone tried?

I’ve heard about this P90X workout. Lookimg from some honest reviews. Does it work? Is it time consuming. Whats the deal with the 12 cd’s

admin answers:

*raises hand*

I’ve been through it 3 times…it’s better for toning and muscle building than weight loss, but it’s a REALLY good at home workout plan if you do it correctly…

The 12 CDs are the different workouts (the infomercial runs all the time, surely you’ve seen it)…

Time consuming??? You’re not going to get a fit body without spending some time…the workouts are about 1 hr each, with the yoga being an hour and a half (that’s day 4 of most weeks)…if you do the Doubles program, it’ll take more time because some days you do 2 workouts…

I’m a big fan…I got toned up…don’t expect a body like you see on TV without plenty of extra gym time (the people in the infomercials didn’t get those ripped muscles from JUST using P90X) but it is a good program…

If your primary goal is weight loss, I recommend Shaun T’s “Insanity”…it’s mostly cardio and resistiance but uses only your body (no add’l equipment) and it will wear your butt out…the first phase workouts are only about 35 mins or so, but you’ll feel like a wrung out dishrag when you’re done…

Susan asks…

P90X or Insanity Fitness Program?

I’m looking for comments from users of P90X and/or Insanity with Shaun T. Were you able to finish the program and how were the results? If you’ve used both I’d like to know which you think is better. Thanks.

Don asks…

is p90x a good workout for someone with a bad back?

I have a slipped disc in my lower back (slipped enough where surgery is recommended) and another one just starting to slip. Because of this, I have been in a fair amount of pain since 1995 – not good considering I’m only 23. As a result of this pain, I have stopped most of my strenuous physical activity ( I had to quit football and lifting weights daily). But now that I am so used to the pain, I have began to return to a light workout routine; mostly running or elliptical and light lifting. I have a friend that is going to school to become a personal trainer, and he told me he has seen amazing results from people using the p90x. I have read reviews and it sounds great. What I haven’t found much of is – is it safe for someone with a back problem like mine to use? On top of that, I live in an upstairs apartment and can’t afford to make a lot of noise, and don’t have a place to put a pull up bar. I really want to lose the extra weight I’ve put on in my core, and build a slightly more toned physique. Is this a program that I should look into?

admin answers:

Pull up bars go into doorways. Certainly you have a doorway?

The Yoga dvd has done wonders for those with lower back pain, to the point where – there is no longer pain. But a slipped disk is serious. Much more then tight muscles. (the typical source of lower back pain). I would get a doctors or physical therapists opinion before doing P90x or any workout regiment for that matter.

P90X – out of the box – is high intensity and high impact. You need to modify the movements (some techniques are shown) to reduce the impact.

It’s a great program, as long as you understand it’s more then just workout DVDs. It’s diet and lifestyle.

Questions And Answers On Buy P90x Workout Abs

Kylee asks…

Should I buy the P90x or Hip Hop Abs?

Which Beachbody® workout is better for stronger arms and legs (other than abs)? and also explain why.

admin answers:

With the limited information you have provided it is though to actually give you a recommendation. It depends on your goals. Weight loss? Stronger? Have you already been working out? I have completed P90x and Insanity. I am presently doing P90x and Hip Hop abs. It is a nice combination together. Please feel free to follow my fitness blog.

Helena asks…

Beachbody Brazil Butt Lift Workout?

Hi,

I’m a huge fan of Beachbody and I was looking to download Brazil Butt Lift. Before anyone goes off and says, Well, buy it if you support it, I just want to say I did buy P90X and Chalene Extreme, but I’m about to go off to an international college, so money is pretty tight right now.

I’m still thinking about buying it if I like the program enough, but I don’t want to spend 60-120 dollars on something I’m going to hate.

If anyone has it uploaded as a torrent (or would be willing to), I’d really appreciate it. Or if anyone has any other way of sharing it, though I’m not really familiar with much else.

I’d love to hear any advice on the program, as well as what type of results to expect. I did P90X, though it was hard to follow the diet (we eat what my mom has in the fridge, and she refuses to let me do the food shopping), and I tried Turbo Jam, but it just wasn’t for me.

I’m in decent shape, endurance-wise, and I’m clean as far as health goes. My diet is fairly decent (no chips, soda, and no fried foods), and I mainly eat salad and chicken for lunch, oatmeal for supper, and cereal for breakfast. My snacks tend to be granola bars since I get yelled at in school for anything else (don’t ask how a banana is more messy than a granola bar…). My snacks are usually about 90-130 calories.

I try to stay within a good calorie range for my body, and I run on the treadmill for about 20-30 min about 3-5 times a week, as well as the 8 minute buns and abs routines on Youtube. I have’t done P90X lately as I just seem to get bored this time around, and Turbo Jam is just too dancy for me. But with college coming I want to look good :) , so I’m trying to burn some fat and tone up a bit. So far with all the programs I do, I either see only very minor results, or weight maintenance with no changes in appearance.

I’m not super fit looking, but not fat either. I’d say I have an average build, with my weight distributed fairly evenly. Would Brazil Butt Lift even help? I’d still work out even if I don’t end up loosing much weight as long as it’s fun, but of course seeing positive changes would be much more statisfying :)

Thanks so much,
Rachel :)

admin answers:

If you didn’t like Turbo Jam, you may not like Brazil Butt Lift as it uses Brazilian dance moves. If you have ChaLean Extreme and follow the program, you should get excellent booty results. I write Beachbody workout reviews at http://JustGetMeFit.com. I have done P90X, Chalean Extreme, Turbo Jam, Slim in 6, Brazil Butt Lift, Tony Horton One on Ones and some Ten Minute Trainer. There is a workout program that is right for each individual depending on what type of training will keep you motivated. I don’t care for workouts based on dance either, so I wanted to share my recommendation with you. God speed in your travels.

Rachel asks…

Should I take P90X or Insanity?

I have body fat on my stomach and I have love handles. The rest of my body is pretty tight and toned. I want to lose that belly fat but I want to get stronger. I’m 6’1” and about 205 lbs and I just turned 16. I play football and I wrestle. I want to workout on a muscle group before school take protein throughout the day then go to track and after track i was thinking of insanity for burning fat and then after that go workout some more. Yes I can do it I just dont know about insanity, it seems that people are getting better results with p90x and i want that beach body. i really just want to have some visible abs and i don’t really want to buy weights for p90x. Which one should I do?

admin answers:

I’ll tell you the same thing I told another guy who asked the same question.

You should do both.

First of course is P90X, which will get you in excellent shape, and you’ll get a good enough base to do insanity (Insanity is HARDER than P90X), and Insanity will make you quicker and more agile and ^up your stamina even more, and will melt off any remaining fat.

Then you should be good to go. Be sure to follow a healthy diet.

If you’re interested, here is the diet Brad Pitt (aka Tyler Durden) went on to get the body he had in “Fight Club.” Which is obviously a good one, I mean, look at the way he looked in the movie, completely ripped. I heard Cam Gigandet went on a pretty similar diet to get in shape for “Never Back Down”, and again, totally ripped. It’s also the diet I’m going on.

Just be sure to eat the correct portions, don’t overeat, and drink plenty of water.

P90X works nearly every muscle in your body, gets you in “Elite Athlete” shape, and if you top it off with 60 days of “Insanity”, you’ll be unstoppable. Stuff like P90X and Insanity are gonna get you in the BEST shape of your life, as long as you do the workouts and follow a healthy diet.

Hope this helps!

On a side note, I need someone to help me with my question.

Jane asks…

Can i get results in P90X without the diet?

I began doing P90x last week and figured to get the most intense workouts, not all of them, to do on certain days. although i do the entire plyometrics every tuesday becasue tht one if fun. the other ones are not so fun because there are some that i cant even do so its a waste of time so i only do the ones i can.. and i only have 30 lbs dumbells so i cant do some tht require less weight. my question is, can still get results doing many workouts and doing it every day without the diet. if i had the knowledge of what to eat i most likely would eat it, but i am not so nutritonally educated, so i mostly buy frozen food like nuggets, pizzas, taquitos, and at times i buy jack tacos, cuz its a economic meal..but i used to play football and was in boxing while in high school and had a 4 pack, but after graduation everything changed i didnt wrkout and just ate and worked. now im gettin kinda shubby, and i dont want tht and want to get back to shape especially my abs..so can i just eat what i want as long as i workout or is it a must to get in shape and stay away from all these addictive foods?

admin answers:

I think by asking the question you really already know the answer. Fact is that if you don’t manage your nutrition properly don’t expect to get great results. It also depends on what results you’re looking to get as well.

All that processed “crap” you’re eating is simply that…crap. I challenge you to spend the exact amount of money on what’s spelled out in the nutrition guide and not come home with a ton of food.

Follow the nutrition guide and you’ll be far ahead of the game!

Good luck!

Wayne asks…

Is mass xxx good for gaining mass?

I just bought Creatine and I’m going to start using it for the rest of my workout routine ( I’m doing p90x) I was also interested to buy gnc mass xxx, and im not sure if it works? Does anyone know if It will work for me? I’m a skinny guy. I weigh about 126lb and im trying to get bulk I’m eating a lot of chicken and tuna to replace the whey protein. I’m doing p90x the classic version. I don’t know if Its ok If I take in creatine and mass xxx on a daily basis? can anyone help me with that? Has anyone had any experiences with creatine and mass xxx that you can share with me. I heard you get bloating after a long period of time so my plan is to take it until i get the size i want and then stop n continue my normal routine with creatine only. Will it affect my abs workout as well by using mass xxx? help???

admin answers:

A good rule of thumb is to use one for a while then switch off after a month or so. Both products should have instructions for how to get ideal results, just follow those. Never heard anything about making you bloated, I’d just be worried about reaching a plateau if you continually use them

Questions And Answers On P90x Workout Schedule Lean

Mandy asks…

Is the lean version of p90x a different workout or just the same workouts but on a different schedule?

Thanks

admin answers:

Same worksouts on a different schedule. The lean version focuses less on heavy weight training and resistance, and more on toning and light weight resistance with higher reps. Im currently on day 15 of the program, except im doing the doubles version. If you are looking into this program, i highly reccomend it. You will be sore and tired, but im 16 and im hangin in there with the adult trainers. Im already noticing results!

Shelley asks…

I have changed the LEAN schedule of the P90X workouts..?

Day 1_Core synergistics, Ab Ripper X
2_Cardio X
3_X Stretch, Ab Ripper X
4_Yoga X
5_Plyometrics
6_Kenpo X
7_Rest/X Stretch

Is it okay doing X Stretch followed w/ Ab Ripper X?
Also, are the following workouts okay before doing Ab Ripper X?

I cannot do any upper body exercies due to myself playing tennis (long story) so I have come up w/ this.

admin answers:

I’m in the middle of the program myself. I don’t see anything wrong, but I’d add legs and back (just skip the pull-ups) instead of X Stretch on the day you combined X Stretch with the Ab Ripper. ALSO never, ever, ever, is Core Synergistics coupled with the Ab Ripper. That dear is overkill and it’s not good for your abs. Overall you have a LOT of the workouts which are intense enough to not require a supplemental Ab Ripper, consider spacing them.

AKA

Day 1_Core synergistics (Counts as Abs)
2_ Plyometrics (<- This never requires a supplemental Ab Ripper)
3_Legs and Back (Skip the back), Ab Ripper X
4_Yoga X (<- This never requires a supplemental Ab Ripper)
5_Cardio X, Ab Ripper
6_Kenpo X (<- This never requires a supplemental Ab Ripper)
7_Rest/X Stretch

Jane asks…

p90x lean or classic?

ive been weight training for about 2 years, im around 215 lbs, 5’9…around 20% body fat. I think i can handle it so starting p90x soon, which workout schedule is better if you want to loose more weight and get in a better shape…..classic or lean?

lean right?
I would also like to know if it worked for the people that used it…thanks

admin answers:

Great question. I have heard different opinions from people who have done both. I thought about lean but decided to go with classic. Classic has done the job to help me lean out. Actually just last night my wife said your body as different as it has ever been. You are not bulky and muscular but lean. When I started I had already lost 82 lbs.

I am down another 12 since starting the classic. I would be down more but I take a free day for eating. I think I will down a total of 20 with the classic.

My opinion is if you go 100% or your best then you will see major changes. Hey you may even want to do doubles for a week.

Good luck and let me know if I can help with anything else.

Alana asks…

What is a good cheap recovery drink or supplement for beginner exercisers?

My mom and i started exercising with my brothers P90X doing the lean workout schedule and a makeshift of the fat shredder diet (cuz we r poor and can only do our best :P ) . however we cannot afford the supplements and recovery drinks they recommend so is there a cheap alternative at walmart or something? keep in mind we are trying to loose weight first. thanks!

(PS. my brother drinks “Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein”, but he is a football player. Is this good for us? Or is that just for muscle?) thanks again.

admin answers:

Nitric oxide is great for helping your muscles recover and it isnt expensive either.

Jim asks…

Why have i plateaued with my weight loss?

Ok, I am having trouble losing some weight. My question isn’t so much one of exercise, as i am currently training for a marathon and follow a set schedule daily. I also mix in some p90x workouts on days when my schedule calls for a light run. My problem is that i weigh 195 lbs. and have been here for over a month now. My current body fat percentage is 15-18% based on what formula i use. I am 6′ tall and eat a fixed diet for breakfast and lunch, dinner varies but i never eat fast food. I would like to be down to around 180 by October, which is when the marathon is. This is my ideal weight and would like to preform my best. A little more background, I played College Baseball and therefore have a certain body type. Baseball was always about small bursts of power, so i have that stocky build, as opposed to the long lean build of a distance runner. I seam to be at a stand still weight wise. I have mulled over working some swimming into my routine to change it up a bit. Any advice why my body has seemed to plateau weight loss wise? Is it a function of my body type? Should i stop the weight lifting?

admin answers:

Keep varying your routine, and your calories. If you vary the calories you intake it keeps your metabolism guessing. You can also google “weight loss plateaus” and find sites that help you break them. Best of luck to you.
